Personal, Social & Health Education (PSHE)
Our Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) is taught as part of our PHSE Curriculum. It is taught through our "Learn to Thrive" lessons. In devising our curriculum, we held drop in sessions to consult with parents. Our Relationship & Sex Education Policy can be found into the policy section of this website.
We have many ways that we seek to develop our learner's independence and confidence in learning. A School Council Member is nominated by each class and meet regularly. Our School Council makes a significant contribution to the school.
Our Y6 Learners also apply to become a Learning Ambassador. We have three different groups of Ambassadors each year:
- Reading Ambassadors
- Maths Ambassadors
- Sports & Health Ambassadors
Our Ambassadors are chosen as role models to help promote and develop these subject areas in school. Their tasks can vary from promoting upcoming events or setting up competitions to working with some of our younger learners in a peer mentor role.
